Our Staff:

Tricia is the store owner and remote-control diva, responsible for inflicting tennis matches, old and new, on the staff and customers at Dublin Bay. She has been knitting for five years, but doesn't have much time for it now because she has a business to run. Lately referred to as "Lady Tricia," she enjoys commissioning projects for the store windows that include such items as knitted dragons, leprechauns, kitties, bunnies, and Sir Waldorf the Walrus. She is the parent of five spoiled kitties: Ollie Bunny, Henry-O, Seamus Jamieson, Fergus McMurphy, and Lady Clementine Olivia Wimbledon. She prefers The Tennis Channel to anything else.

Nancy is Tricia's mom, and often refers to herself as "just mom, helping out." She is the Queen of Ripping Out, and has been known to say, "something's just not right, Tricia, something's just not right..." An avid knitter of store samples, she is responsible for the most beautiful sweaters in our store, from the RYC cardigan, to the Rooster lacy pullover, and now the gorgeous Synchronicity shawl in the window. She is currently stranded in North Carolina, but visits twice a year to work in the shop. Someday she will return to Portland for good. After attending the Davis Cup finals, she no longer minds tennis quite so much.

Ken is Tricia's dad, and he does not knit, though he has on one occasion, helped to wind a hank of Ottawa for a customer. He is responsible for setting up all our shelves and giving out free business advice as needed — sometimes crisis management as well. He might be convinced to move back to Portland from North Carolina if Nancy would allow him to have a dog and keep his race cars. Tricia thinks they should buy a farm (and a flock of sheep). Then Nancy could move back to Portland, work at Dublin Bay, and Ken could get a dog to herd the sheep. This idea has not gone over well with either party involved. He has a spoiled kitty named Ellie, an array of vintage cars, and prefers the SPEED channel to tennis.

Jenny is a New York native who has lived in Portland for the past 2 1/2 years or so. Her grandmother first taught her to knit as a child in Germany, and she has been knitting consistently for the past five years. She is proficient in the continental method and loves to teach knitting. She can also help you with your digital camera questions as she is a freelance photographer as well. She is the parent of a big, black kitty named Spooky, who was rescued by the Oregon Humane Society--YEA! Don't miss the pics of Spooky the Astronaut in our Hall Fame section under CLASSES too!

Elif comes to us from Indiana, by way of Austin, Texas, and has been in Portland since October 2007. She is an accomplished jewelry designer and will someday open her own shop. She currently teaches beading classes in and around Portland, and also teaches knitting classes here at Dublin Bay. She has two kitties: Fang (who is all about the food), and Embley, the secret Ninja cat. She prefers music to watching tennis.

Chrissy is the renowned designer of Gardiner Yarn Works patterns which we are proud to feature in our shop. Her patterns have been featured in several publications including Interweave Knits and Vogue Knitting, and several of her designs will be appearing in soon-to-be-published books. She spends her non-knitting time with husband, Bill, daughter, Sydney, son, Owen, and their chickens, Rhoda, Diddy, Ruttager, and their kitty, Kika. Although she no longer works in our shop as an employee, she will be back to teach intermediate and advanced classes from her awesome designs. She prefers HGTV to tennis.
