Cool Things We & Our Customers Have Made!
Spiraluscious Cowl
Yet another Tricia project, (I really don't knit very fast, I'm just updating today). This a knitspot pattern by Anne Hanson. I wanted a sample out of our new solstice starlight cashmere silk and decided this would be my first cowl. Now I'm hooked on the yarn and this pattern. The edging seems like it will come out backwards, but go with it--it all works out fine.
Vintage (Not Velvet) Scarf
Another Tricia project...this is the Vintage Velvet Scarf by Lisa Daniels from Scarf Style by Pam Allen. There was no way I was going to felt this beautiful Handmaiden Silk Bamboo yarn, but I love the reversible cable pattern. I used 2 skeins in the Ivory colourway and US 7 needles. Love it, love it!
Rose & Crown Scarf
Tricia knit this up as part of the new solstice pattern line. The rosebud pattern is from Barbara Walker. Knit out of one skein of Handmaiden's luscious Camelspin, this is an intermediate lace pattern with an easy picot-edge. Find the pattern here!
Thermis
This Irish-inspired cowl was whipped up by Cailan based on KrisKnits' Thermis pattern. Cailan used one skein of Handmaiden's 4 Ply Cashmere in "Cedar" on US 4 needles. A perfect, quick, little knit project just in time for St. Patrick's Day!
Tendril Sweater
Mom Nancy made this beautiful sweater to be used as a shop sample. She used (9) skeins of Rowan Purelife Organic Cotton DK in "Chlorophyll." The pattern was written by Martin Storey for Rowan and appears in RYC's Book 18, Nature. Nancy used needle sizes US 3 and 6.
Ocean Currents Scarf
Tricia made this scarf from one skein of Zen Yarn Garden's Tencelicious sock yarn in our exclusive Dublin Bay colorway! From the book Ocean Breezes: Knitted Scarves Inspired by the Sea by Sheryl Thies - Tricia used US 4 needles. This was a nice, relaxing project to knit in front of the TV during the holidays.
Admittedly not knit, these pix were too funny not to put up. Meet Jenny's kitty, Spooky the Astronaut. When I heard about Spooky dressed up for Halloween, I had to have a look. Isn't he a cutie?

Janet made this adorable little purple sweater for Brownie, who is proudly modelling it for us here! Janet took a one-on-one lesson to learn how to make it, and is now knitting another sweater in red for a Yorkie friend.
Amanda learned to knit in our one-on-one classes in the summer of 2006. Sadly, she and her family left us to move back to Lake Tahoe, but we still keep in touch. She sent us this charming picture of Bear modelling a scarf that she made. She has gone on to make many hats and scarves and will tackle hand warmers this winter.
